Public Sector Sales Development Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Public Sector Sales Development Manager to join our client based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. 2021 was an exceptional year for this client and 2022 is forecasted to be even better. The company motto is ‘word hard, play hard’, they are a fun, dynamic company who have recently invested in their offices which now include sound pods, break out rooms, a games room, fully functional canteen and a decked garden to sit outside in the summer

Job Outline

We are looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who has the drive to learn and succeed, whilst contributing to the upwards trajectory of the Public Sector team. This is a fast paced, growing team with ambitious plans and a start-up mentality. It is an exciting opportunity to progress rapidly and work with major Public Sector accounts. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with at least 3-5 years’ experience with Public Sector tenders/projects and project management in IT.

Job Role

• Be the first contact person for the Public Sector sales development

• Early identification and development of framework tender projects

• Ownership of UK framework pipeline and framework presales activity

• Establishment of a strategic vendor and distributor network.

• On-going market analysis and overview as well as tracking developments within in IT and public procurement

• Monitoring Framework Publication tools and distributing relevant projects

• Working in collaboration with Public Sector sales manager, bid manager and group Public Sector division

Job Requirements

You must be self-motivated and hard working with a good understanding of business economics. You will be an excellent communicator and have excellent organisational skills along with a team-oriented mindset.

A positive attitude, upbeat and helpful persona is key to this role. It is essential you have a can do attitude and are a natural influencer. It would be desirable that you have knowledge of Public Sector contracting procedures and be business fluent in English. This role is aimed at the UK wide Public Sector Market.


UK wide, working from home and occasional visits to HQ in the Chippenham Office. This role will include travel to Germany and other countries.

Salary and Benefits

Salary £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
